An English scientist, Talbot helped develop light sensitive paper that was more conducive for photograph prints than copper based paper which was previously used. He invented the calotype process which is the precursor to later photographic developments. Once he created this, he went on to make more strides in the photography world; he developed the three steps of printing photos: developing, fixing, and printing. He realized that by using a negative, he could make multiples of the same photo. He was also an accomplished archaeologist, politician, and author.
