Shutter Speed
In photography the shutter speed is known as the exposure time or the amount of time that light is reaching the film. The amount of time that the shutter stays open when you are taking a photo is the shutter speed. The shutter speed along with the aperture determine the amount of light coming into the camera. The shutter speed typically ranges from 4 seconds to 1/1000 of a second. The shutter speed affects the way movement is shown in a picture. For example, a longer shutter will cause the moving object to be blurry. A shorter shutter speed allows you to take a sharp picture of a moving object.
