Ansel Adams was not only a photographer, but an environmentalist and a pianist as well. He later took up the violin as well. He was born in California. He was mosted noted for his black and white photographic genius, particulary of the American West. He often shot in Yosemite National Park. Adams created the Zone System, which was a way to expose the photo and contrast it during the development process for exact precision. A random fact about Adams is that he broke his nose during a San Francisco earthquake during his youth, and his nose remained broken for the remainder of his life.
