This photo was taken by W. Eugene Smith, an american photographer, in 1938 during a game of American football. Smith captures the players while moving through the air, which means that his shutter speed was very fast. I like how the photo so clearly shows the aggression in the opposing players' faces. The photo is bright, but not overexposed, as you can see shadows and contrast from the light sky background to the dark jersey. The hand at the bottom of the picture makes it seem as though the player with the ball has jumped very high up in the air because you cannot see the ground as a reference point for where the men are located.
